Michael Hendra
Founder & Director — Total Property Management
Over the past 15 years I've been deeply involved in the Taupo short-stay industry — helping to establish and manage more than 150 properties across the region. That journey took me through some of the larger operations in the market, and gave me an enormous amount of experience: I know the seasonal rhythms, what drives strong guest reviews, how to price for maximum return, and what separates a well-run property from an average one.
But that experience also gave me a clear vision for what great property management should look like — and the drive to do something about it. As companies grow, chasing 50, 60, 70 properties or more, the personal service that owners were promised can quietly fade. I wanted to build something different.
Total Property Management is that something. Newly launched and built from the ground up, TPM exists to give a small number of property owners the kind of genuinely attentive, high-quality management that simply isn't possible at scale. My team and I are personally invested in every property we take on.
I also run my own portfolio of high-performance short-stay properties here in Taupo, so we have real skin in the game. Your success is our success — and that's exactly how it should be.
